The IC-706MkIIG is the enhanced version of this popular HF/VHF mobile rig. It has more features but in the same physical size. New features include 70cm, crossband split, band stacking register memories. It has a sub dial for easier access to RIT/ second VFO and high quality transmit audio. Power has been increased to 50W on 2m² and 20W on 70cm² as well as narrow FM cabability with the FM deviation set for 2.5kHz, ideal for the new 12.5kHz channel spacings. Excellent performance allows this transceiver to be used as your main rig for the HF and VHF bands if required.
